Sorry Nickwiz, Shame, had to buy my own cuppa at the museum
Your lucky to live so close to the museum, I've got nearly a 3 hour drive\ride, depending on the traffic on the A14/M6/M42.

Yes, well worth a visit if you come to the UK anytime. 4 halls packed tight with British Bikes (and a few from other parts of the world). A bit mind boggling to be honest, need to visit more than once to really look at everything.

Museum bikes!
Over in the colonies (Hammondsport,New York) we have the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum with a lot of neat old bikes and Aircraft......But as in England the bloody curators must move those rope barriers to allow for decent photos.......That would be art!!!!!! Nice shots , thanks for sharing...Dave

I know. My folks live in Hadleigh and I grew up round there.
As for the Rope barriers. They don't mind if you carefully move them to get your shot as long as you put em back after.

I live about 10 minutes from Barber http://www.barbermuseum.org/ and I try to get out there at least a few times a year. Not only to support it, but they rotate the collection, so you always see something new. When you live close to something like that it is easy to take it for granted.
One of the first dates my wife and I went on was to the museum. I knew I had the right gal when iI was ready to leave and she wanted to stay longer and look at more bikes.

I can't believe I overlooked this thread; I guess I was arguing politics too much with HiD...I was fortunate enough to have the Nickwizes give me a tour of the museum on our trip to the B'ham and my camera was literally smoking by the time we left. I am in the process of getting all these pictures over to photobucket but I will start throwing some up to share.
