Yes indeed, that's some good info. I'm starting to put together some itineries of places to go - do some weekend and extended weekend trips, plus longer stuff.

Are you planning a trip anywhere in particular?

Well, I'm planning on combining a bike roadtrip with my other passion, baseball. I want to get that "Iron Butt Rider" certificate and plate holder so I'm planning on riding from my home in Northern Virginia to Ft. Myer, Florida this coming March and taking in some Spring Training Baseball. From my house to Ft. Myer is roughly 1,036 miles, which qualifies for an Iron Butt run. Almost totally slab, but that's the most direct and probably most safest route. I'll rest for a day and then catch a few Spring training games over the course of the next week before taking a leisurely two or three day ride back home up the coast line through all those beach towns.

Yes indeed. I love the twisties and West Virginia has them in spades. I've ridden the Northern "mountains and lakes" region a bunch of times and the roads are great but based on "Motorcycle Roads" I'll head to http://www.motorcycleroads.us/region...reenbrier.html
It will have to be a 4 day trip since it will be 3 to 400 miles, depending on slab time, just getting there.

I've used the site before for a trip to the Adirondacks and it got me on roads I probably would have never found.
