How many British bikes have you owned?
Well i started my street riding career about 36 years ago on a 71 650 BSA that officially belonged to my dad.....but he spent more time on the Harley so it was basically mine. Another guy in the neighborhood had a 67 Bonneville that i drolled over so many times i knew at some point i would have a Triumph and Norton some day.
My first Triumph was a very rare 73 Boyer Dunstall 750 that i had when i was in the service, ran and raced the piss out of it untill one day an asswipe ran a yield sign........no more hot rod Triumph!
The second was a 1969 T100c 500 that i converted to a Daytona very sweet best sounding Triumph ever...
My third is the 04 BB that i ride now its kinda like me a little fatter and slower than before but far more reliable.....
My first Norton 850 Commando was a 73 that was total junk when i got it but 18 months later the beautifull black bike rolled out of my garage..loved that unreliable leaky SOB kept it for several years, chicks liked it as well After i sold it another 850 came my way but the first 73 850 was my favorite Brit bike!
I guess my total is 6 and counting depending on how this latest deal works out.....

The 02 is my first - but not the last!
Considering buying a BSA A10 for a good price to have something to tinker with.
And there will be at least one triple in my future. Hopefully, one T150, and one Hinckley triple, TB sport - or RIII Roadster if I win the lottery. Wouldn't mind a Tiger or Street Triple R either.

The T100 is my first, and loving every minute of it.
It is, by count, #20 out of 17 Japanese, 1 German and 1 Italian. At this juncture in my life, I must be going international, or at least in search of different experiences. I think I'll probably skip the Chinese, however.

Two
Purchased forty years apart:
Oct 1965 - purchased nice 1963/64 (unsure) BSA Spitfire Scrambler
Dec 2005 - purchased nice 2003 Bonneville T100
Still at it, after all these years!

The Thruxton is my first English bike, although I've owned a number of English cars (Series II Land Rover & Series I E-type FHC at present). Previous bikes have come from Japan (5), Germany (7), USA (1), Italy (1) and Spain (1).

I've had 2 Brit bikes. They were my first and current. First was, a BSA 441 Victor, 64 I think, it was 40 yrs ago. The other is my 07 Black Bonnie. I may own something else, but I think British Iron will be my main ride till I kick the bucket.

3, a ratty '77 TR7 (Tiger) that turned into a Bonneville. had that sucker for 7 years and went all over Europe on it.
I have a Hinckley Thunderbird for going on 8 years, can't imagine ever selling it.
And now, an 09 Bonneville that I have had for 6 days
ps and too many Jap bikes to remember.

Great Thread. I've had a single-lung Ariel (never worked) a Jawa, (a JAWA?) bunches and bunches of Yamaha's including 2 650's which were as close as I could get to a Bonnie. My last bike was a Vulcan Classic given to me by my bride (gotta love her), when I sold the Vulcan I considered it my "last" bike. Saw a 2006 T-100 on ebay (don't ask why I was looking if I had already sold my "last" bike), made a bid - got it!
That was three years ago. I absolutely love this machine! Great fun to tinker with, even more to ride. Every ride is better than the last.
