Heads up to all Aussie riders

Living way out here in gods own sunburnt country, due to the lack of population and various other economic factors we're a little under under serviced when it comes to choice of where to buy spares and parts for our beloved machinery. Inevitibly its either the local Triumph Dealer,in my case 200 miles away, who only sells Triumph gear at Retail prices or the internet which opens up access to the world but incurs freight and exchange costs.
Whats my point - Have you seen the exchange rate !!! its nearly dollar for dollar at the moment, so if you were thinking about getting some parts from overseas nows the time.
Example, seat unit on Triumph website in UK is 200 Pommie Pounds.
Current exchange rate thats about $385 aus. Same unit at my local Triumph dealer $585. Ok add a bit for freight, but I aint got to drive to the city to collect it !
As our American Cousins might say -Go figure - Do the math !
Happy Shopping

Most of us have been ordering from the USA for ages, the Americans get bulk discount, not hard to understand when you consider the numbers involved. The population of the whole of Australia is 21 million, the population of Texas alone is 24 million. Even if the exchange rate is not that good, the stuff still works out cheaper.

I can see it now, the Pepublic of Textralia, where men are men, beer is beer, and spares are cheap!
