Some of you guys have probably seen this one already. Gotta say that I really like it. Air cooled. I believe it is an 1100

If I had to guess I'm betting that the power specs will be in the ballpark of 100 hp with an msrp slightly below the ducati sport classic

that is, IF we get them in the US.

You guys in europe will definitely get them

Wow, that looks real nice! Still would prefer a smaller motor though - a draw of the Bonnie for me is it's relatively low power/small displacement.

Oooh! the "sports" version is nice.
I can't remember where I came across the picture I posted but it was mentioned there that the price tag might be at or lightly under $10 k. US ... don't know if that was wishful thinking or not?

Also, why wouldn't the bike be sold stateside? becuase of emissions you mean?

emmissions? no if anything we have lower emissions standards than europe

no in the US many "standard" models don't sell as well as they do in other parts of the world so we don't get them. It took harley a while to release xr1200 here adn that is just one example.

Honda hasn't given us the varadero yet. (though at this point they would have to compete with the Vstrom)

the US market is primarily cruisers unfortunately. That is what sells best

there are a ton of cool bikes that europe gets that we don't get

It looks like we in the UK won't get it either according to the press - apparently Honda UK don't think there'll be enough demand...are they mad or blind or both?
I think the guys in continental Europe will get it though........Hmm the English channel is only 21 miles wide & the Eurotunnel train service is good so perhaps personal imports will become fairly common...

I hate to say it on this site, but if that thing hits these shores, the Bonnie is GONE. I love my Bonnie, but that thing is too cool. I originally wanted a 750 Nighthawk, but Honda discontinued it, and I couldn't find a decent used one. My favorite previous bike was a Honda VT500 Ascot. I'm still kicking myself in the rump for getting rid of it. I only wish it had been a 750 or even a 1000

I think that could be a fair assumption providing the pricing is competitive. If the Honda comes in around 2 grand more than a Bonnie, things will get interesting.

But the bike that would feel it the most would be the Thruxton. I don't mind seeing a Bonnie at 865cc, would be a nice fit around a 950cc size, but I always felt the Thruxton would sit best around a 1050cc.

Who knows. Must say though, Triumph must appreciate the tip of the hat from Honda showing these bikes have interest other than just sportbikes and cruisers
