I remember in my youth spending a week in Adeliade one night.
And after around 40 beers, a mate and I decided to get us a Pie Floater. So we lurched and staggered to "Harry's Cafe du Wheels" and got ourselves a pie floater. Harry's place was a food caravan.
This consists of taking a meat pie, putting it upside down in a soup bowl and then pouring mushy pea soup over it, and then giving it a fair serve of tomato sauce. I tell you, at 2 am and 40 beers under the belt, sitting in the gutter eating a pie floater, you havn't lived 'till you been there.
Anyone else know of any other local delicasies indigineous to their part of the world, that are generally consumed when drunk and at no other time?
