First Triumph for my 17 Month Old Son

Picking this up tomorrow and will find its way under the Xmas tree this year. The first Triumph for my son and I think I am the one most anxious for Xmas to roll around. How I love seeing his face light up...I'm a sap and proud of it!

On the technical side:

This 675 doesn't have quite the horsepower or torque as the other Daytona but reviews are saying that this one can drop the blue Thruxtons on the line...

Thats cool. Just Don't let him ride it down the stairs. I tried that stunt when I was his age on the sixties version. I still have a place on my chin where the beard won't grow as a result!

You know he'll probably rebel against his father and go all electro popand smart suits and a sensible car don't you?

Actually I am the one that might have the mark on the chin...the wife just found out how much I paid for it. Oh well, I'll just duck and weave until Xmas; then she will see him go crazy and all will be good.

That is the current joke from everyone that knows me...he will either go that route or he will be a die hard Harley rider. Can you imagine the dinner conversations??!! wooooooo hooooooooooo

That's fantastic! And the really great thing is that the bigger he gets, the more power the bike will have! Just be grateful you don't have to teach him to argue about what tires and oil to use yet...

I already bought him one of those battery powered atv's when he was fourteen months old. Wife went crazy on me saying that he was too young for it...the next day he was driving it around on his own in the backyard and his response to that was...

Deep down inside this is why we still ride. His face says it all!

A set of drop bars and clip on mirrors would look neat.
Go mild cafe with it.

What exhaust are you going to put on it?

I should of known all of the MOD comments would be coming

When he can rip a wheelie across the backyard without dipping the front wheel once then we will start breaking her down and suping her up some. Until that day he will have to learn to ride stock first and earn his way up to the performance aspect; if you can't tell, I am one of those hard-nosed fathers that gets great joy in denying my son (my wife would be rolling her eyes and saying 'whatever' to that comment I made. I gave my word to the old lady that I won't bring him to a toy store on my own until the middle of November...this is because of the price tag on this puppy).

It will be wheelie time soon...
