I just Learned ACORN is a welfare charity. How appropriate to have some fascist bastard moaning about welfare to the poorest in that video! Maybe a welfare program like he had would be more to people's tastes? Arbeit Macht Frei? Work makes freedom? Just saying.

Nick, If Acorn were a ligit welfare charity I wouldn't have posted the video but Acorn is far from being what you think but use the poor to further their agenda. As for the poor they have probably done more harm than good.

So a an overtly right of centre web site puts on a stunt to discredit a left of centre organisation and of course we all go OH WOW how wicked that this ACORN organisation are doing such terrible things?

Come on! If the BBC had done this then maybe I might just think ok theres something wrong here but I'd still question the motive behind the film. Never trust the media or the govt entirely. The camera can lie. This stuff is edited to present just the view that the clearly anti Obama and right wing web site wants you too see. Please tell me you people are not so gullible as to swallow any partisan crud you get fed!

Even if I accept the video as fact and good journalism, what would you have an advocacy group for the most downtrodden do...judge them and throw them into the streets?
I would think that making the prostitute pay taxes on her income is the only gvmt. goal anyways. What do you think a street sweep is??

ACORN may in fact be a corrupt and disreputable agency, but this video doesn't prove it.

In short...yes.

The days of Walter Cronkite/classic journalism has shifted dramatically. If you care to research it yourself then look up a manuscript from say a 1960 news broadcast and then research one today. Pick all the major networks...NBC, CBS, ABC, and make sure to include Fox and CNN for your modern day research. The proof will be in the manuscripts that you find. I will leave it at that and not attempt to voice what I have been finding through my research. This is an area I have been investing a lot of time in.

If an organization has workers who are helping people steal money to set up illegal operations, that organization has problems. If those people are comfortable with child prostitution, they are evil and sick. Seems pretty cut and dried to me.

So Joe, you see prostitution as a good career path? Just a job like any other? I'm curious; does that apply to people who are victims of sex trafficing as well? These ACORN workers seemed perfectly comfortable enabling human trafficing for forced prostitution. Underage prostitutes; think they have a say in the matter? Even if they did, would that really change anything? I'm going to have to repeat myself and say "evil and sick." This isn't advocating for the downtrodden. It's exploiting them for profit. But I have two young daughters, so my judgement on this issue is hardly impartial.
