Service shop in Los Angeles?
Hey all,
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a shop for maintenance/service for Triumph bikes in the central Los Angeles/Hollywood area. I have a new Thruxton and my buddy just got a new Daytona 675 SE and we're not thrilled with the service at the shop at the dealer we got out bikes from.
Any info is much appreciated!

Is this too far? IIRC they are joined w/ Triumph Performance USA. I would guess that they can work through any of your Triumph related difficulties.
I have no direct report on the dealership, but I can say that TP USA is good to work with.
If I'm mistaken about the relationship, then never mind.

Yeah, TPUSA is a great shop with really friendly and passionate mechanics but they are a bit far.

Count yourself lucky, you have a number of options. There is 1 dealer in UT. After them it's a couple hundred miles to any alternatives.

Adrian over at Venice beach is really cool and knows Triumph bikes really well. Here's his link: http://www.adepackett.com/index.html

Dealer
Bleeps, I'm just curious which dealership is it that you're not nuts about? I live in the greater L.A. area (70 miles to the closest dealership) and all I know is I took my 09 Bonnie in for the 600 mile 'oil change', and $250.00 later....
Does anyone know if it's true that an authorized Triumph place must perform scheduled maintenance in order for the warranty to be valid?-

dkla60: My friend got the same recommendation for Adrian, I think.
BradMarks: The service shop at OTD/LA Cyclesports is who I am talking about. They don't exactly inspire confidence. They don't even make appointments, they just say bring it in. Which is a pain in the ass if you have to fight traffic on the 10 and the 405 despite the fact that they're technically not that far away.
From what I heard, Adrian was a service person for OTD for about 9 years before opening his own shop. Still, that's on the other side of LA. I was hoping for something more central but I'll stop whining seeing how some of you other guys have much longer treks to make than I do!
I have the same question about maintenance and the warranty.

I've gotten 2 bikes from LA OTD. Took my Suzuki there for service the first time, probably won't take anything else there. It isn't that they did anything wrong but in my experience they charge more for service than other dealers in the area. At least that is what I found when I called about a price on routine maint. for a Honda, a Suzuki and Triumph.
Just took my Bonnie to SouthBay for service. They turned it out really quick and the service guys were nice. A whole different vibe than the OTD service dept.
I'd love to know about voiding the warranty also. The book is full of dire warnings but c'mon I don't need a service dept for the basics!
