soon to be new
Not sure where to post, but I will be picking up my 05 Speedmaster on Friday. I can't wait. I am changing the tank out for an 08. I just like the look better. While I was riding it this afternoon, I felt kinda vulnerable in just short sleeves. Living here in Dallas it gets pretty damn hot. I was wondering what a good jacket will run for, I would like to have a Triumph one obviously, but not a requirement. I would love any sugestions, and also whats a good site to go to to shatrt modding it out, I was thinking about doing something to back fender.

Welcome stunt.
Send pics of your bike pre and post tank switch.
Cruise around this site for all sorts of mods and clothing options and opinions.
Triumph gear has good/expensive clothing.
Check out www.newspeedmaster.com for initial mod ideas.
Ride safe and with fun.
Oh yes, you owe a round of drinks for all here.
I'll have a double dram of Laphroig, thank you very much.

Several companies make mesh jackets, but some doctors say the mesh can melt from road friction. The other option for hot weather is perforated leather.
As tba said, hit the search function.
And make mine an Ardbeg, with a few drops of water added, please.

Thanks for the tips. I plan on getting either the Triumph mesh or the Joe Rocket Phoneix 5. Those seem to be th emost comfortable for her ein Dallas. And I will also get some phots taken when I get the chance.

Frank Thomas Senegal
I have the Frank Thomas Senegal and though it is mesh the quality of the build is worthy... Water resist, vented, armored.
Price is nice as well.
Check it out at http://www.frank-thomas.co.uk/cgi-bi...search=senegal

Mesh that's water resistant? That I've got to see. Can you take some closeup photos?

Not sure if pix would help, more the way it is constructed.
The body, though mesh is water treated, then there are areas that are a stretchy breathable material... and plenty of zippered vents
The black areas in the picture...

Okay; it's a terminology issue. To me, it's not a mesh jacket unless you can see through it well enough to tell whether a hand inside it is giving the vulcan salute, or the single finger salute. The Joe Rocket Phoenix is a good example.
