The Master Plan.....

Well it seems that the new guy in the white house is in the process of sponging more money from the middle class. He is not only pushing for socialized medicine (huge mistake) but he also wants to tax our health insurance benefits.

This guy is not only going to make us pay for those who do not work, don't want to work or just plain leaches of society, he is going to tax our benefits to boot.

This guy will not stop until there is a out cry for his impeachment. He has shown all of us his give it all away policies. The ditch is getting deeper and he will be placing us in it. JMOP.

I recommend the black economy.

In the UK that means the parallel economy that by-passes the inland revenue.

I pay my taxes indeed I have paid enough tax in the last 6 years to fund several pointless trips by our discredited politicians to do pointless things at enormous expense.

So now I am looking at ways of diverting my hard earned £££ away from them and back to me

Please do not mistake my anger as apathy for those truly truly in need help. But as a middle class person I have worked all my life. I put myself through school working full time and attending classes full time. I really get upset when I see politicians pissing our money away for lavish trips or to get votes from those who do not want to work.

I saw a truck with this on the tail gate "one big arse mistake america!" and it is true in my opinion. We were in a hole before Obama and now that hole is being dug deeper and deeper each day. There has to be accountability you just can not give everything away thinking it will improve.

From the campaign tax proposals, it looks like the wealthy were not paying their share; all the off-shore tax havens require large investment amounts and so were out of reach of the middle class and below, while the "family hasn't worked in generations" class has hidden from taxes in elaborate tax havens. If you look at the tax law, a great deal of its regulation is for these loopholes. I hope that many of them are closed and everyone pays in "fairly".

You have to quote it as the tax brackets are not truly fair. 15% is not the same as 45% even if the 45% folks really can afford a great deal more tax burden. The "middle class" is saddled with the largest tax proportion, mostly because there are many more in that group.

What do we do with the situation where people who are taking home 3-7million/yr and are paying an effective 13% tax while the people that make 23K are paying 15%?

** numbers in this post are theoretical **

Originally he was not going to take from the middle class families making less than $200,000. a year. Now he is talking about not only increasing our taxes to pay for the unisured, but he is going to tax our benefits.

I think he is leading our country into collapse.

Well, the under $200,000 crowd has certainly seen some increase already.

This administration is "all about" regressive taxation as a method of social engineering. My econ classes told me that regressive taxes were evil due to the impact on the poor.

Prime example is the new tobacco tax...a bag to handroll went from about $13 to about $52...pre-rolled are even more. Obviously, the wealthy can absorb these costs.

Fuel/Energy taxes ("cap and trade")...this will impact the poor disproportionately as they have less income to cover these increases which will be dramatic.

Many more taxes are being considered from alcohol to soda and each seems to be regressive in nature, yet hidden by this administration and the complicit media.

Oh well, elections have results.

I was not going to fly the stars and stripes for the next four years....but now I am thinking of returning it to upside down and let it fly that way until the next election.

Thought about that myself Lee, but decided against it.
At least outside in the open.
May do it inside.
Don't want to upset or frighten anyone,(first responders, vets, ect..)
Inside I can let my feelings out without worrying anyone.

Obama inherited a problem of epic proportions from G.W.B. so I don't blame him for having to reinvest some stimulus funds into our nation. Whoever won would have to of done the same. I would have preferred to vote republican but McCain and Palin (especially Palin) seem hateful, divisive, and largely clueless other that sloganering to appease the far right. I think a centrist type republican like Powell or Ron Paul would be a great 2012 candidate who can act as a fiscal conservative and reject the attempts of the far right to hijack the republican party and implement their hateful and bigoted social (biblical) policies.
