Am I a heretic? Norton girl 1970s advert...

There was a whole set of Norton Commando adverts and this is one example, I think they are early 1970s (?) Look at those ''ape hanger'' bars

I do like the old Norton Commando 750 though. Glad Norton are back in production, albeit on a small scale

I thought this was a nice one to show you all.

See more girls and bikes on my website....

Safe riding,

Yes, friendly ghost, you are a heretic if you actually liked the Hi-rider. Trouble is, those Norton girls made you forget what kind of Norton they were draped on/standing next to. So it was easy to think that a Norton "chopper" was cool if it could attract babes like that. Then again, I guess I'm sort of a philistine in that regard. Long live Norton motorcycles.

Uncle Nort - Totally agree with you, the ''Hi Rider'' had to be a real low point in design history, the basic bike was fantastic (was it reliable though? I never had one myself, but when I was a kid in the 70s our local police used to have a fleet of them). Hi Rider...ughhhhh...yuuuk!

Lee...Just love the Hilary Clinton photo shop job....nice one By the way here is a tasteful shot for you

Hi Rider - at least they were trying, factory customs would have been unheard of in 1970. I'd have one - if only for it's rarity. (actually I'd have a garage full of Nortons if posssible). Gotta love those seventies fashions, a much under-rated era. Who would have though Hillary could have looked that good?

I bought my 72 Combat Yellow Roadster new and still have it and love it. I saw your old engine in 1982 when TC Christensen lit up The Hogslayer twin engine Norton dragster and smoked the tire across a parking lot in a National Park in Maine.

I bought my Norton because of the adds but to get the girls I had to tell them it was a Harley. Funny thing is it worked !
