Okay most of you know I took a new job going on 8 months ago. I have been doing very well. I have been stern and understanding of staff that needed to be pushed a little in a better direction.
I have put surgeons on the right path when they are inappropriate with the way they act and have gone as far as offering a trip outside to discuss how tough they really are.
I have been very supportive of my staff make sure they have what they need. I have saved over $450,000 year to date on process changes, better pricing and I have been coming in way under budget. I even buy pizza for all my staff when a someone passes a specialty certification.
Well the past two days I purchased two new refrigerators and a new couch for the staff lounge it was over due and I decided they needed it. I even promised them a 40 inch flat screen and dvd player for meetings requiring videos for training.
Well all the sudden I am being referred to as Daddy off the cuff by my staff (100+ females) I think I am flattered. I know they respect me and they know my expectations which I am very clear about. They all are very professional and do a great job taking care of people every day.
So I guess I am flattered or even honored that they would refer to me in that manner, even if it is off the cuff.
