That's impressive for any bike, Harley or otherwise! The cops really know how to ride. I've been trying to learn some of the techniques. I've got a DVD by Jerry "Motorman" Palladino, in which he shows how the troopers ride. One of the keys is to drag the clutch (finding the "friction zone," as he puts it) and the rear brake, so that you maintain momentum and control, even at walking speeds. I've been amazed at how much that improves my bike's balance at low speed; unfortunately, I haven't gotten much farther than that! Man, I'd love to be able to ride like the guy in the video!

Thumbs up

Coolness of cool. Where I live, the California Highway Patrol ride BMWs. They are silent and very stealthy. Just try to evade them and you go to jail. A lot of years ago, there was a company rep for ZDS Motors (Moto Guzzi and Ducati) of Los Angeles, who was a retired CHP Motor Officer. He would out run me on my Norton while riding a Guzzi 850 El Dorado. He taught me a few things. He was so smooth I cannot even begin to describe. Surfice it to say I was humbled when he smoked past me in a very tight turn on that 600 plus pound Guzzi with a shower of sparks comming from the floor board. : :

Steve gear head at large and all things mechanical. If you aint Infantry you aing S**T.

Does anyone know wether there are advanced training schools that would teach you to ride like that? I live in Northern california.
Cheers John.
