Where would you ride?
I have been making longer and longer trips on my bike the last couple of years. I love exploring the state. This year I am taking a longer trip across country (not all the way across) with some good buddies I met via this forum.
This has opened up whole new riding and touring possibilities for me, and I have been chewing over the different destinations I might tackle.
Which brought me to this question.
If you had 2 weeks to tour an area of the world on a motorcycle - what area would it be? Roughly what would the route be, and why would you do it?
For the fun of it, assume your bike and you can be airlifted to your start point, and airlifted out from your end point. Hell, assume you can go with a pack of friends if you like. Just tell us about areas you would love to ride on a bike.

Most definitely I'd ride around the USA. My home country - but haven't seen much of it. I'd do all the innards, Tennesee, Missouri, Dakotas, Arkansas. I'd ride every county road and stop at little diners and cafes, hang around little towns, look for historical points of interest.
Yup, the USA. And I will likely do that when my working life is through.
And I already speak the language!!!

Ride!
Head for the UP, take the highway that goes along the south shore of Superior, head for a place called Copper Harbor....great camp there, watch for bears....tour all along the Keweenaw Peninsula, get there from the closest way for you....it is stunningly beautiful with lighthouses and little quaint towns, even boat tours along the steep vertical cliffs of limestone....

I've spent many a time touring up there it's fantastic.

Bangkok outskirts to Singapore. You could pick up a Thai Bonnie and thrash it all the way to the Raffles hotel.

Ship your bike to Utah or Denver both places are a stones throw from the airport and head for the Black Hills area. Glacier National Park in Montana is a great take too.If your not into camping motel 8's are everywhere reasonable and clean, you can call them for a booklet on all their locations. If you plan your trip around Sturgis you'll have plenty of company from fellow bikers and every place is biker friendly.

The black hills is definitely a place I want to visit. I think I would ride there from my current location.
I am considering trucking my bike somewhere warm for motorcycling vacations in winter.

I've seen most of the best of the U.S. I'm quite happy to continue seeing it on a routine basis, but for this sort of question, ny answer is definitely going to involve the southern hemisphere. Australia, New Zealand, and maybe South Africa. Thanks largely to the ride reports here on TriumphRAT.
Prop, if you swing south, you know who to call!
