If You Don't Pay Your Taxes.....Opened again Socialism verus Democracy part II

Well evidently if you do not pay your taxes there is a spot for you as a Department head or cabinet member. It is always nice to know that the expectation to pay your taxes does not apply to a string of nominees. Phrases like it was an oversight, I forgot or I did not know seems abundant.

So how is it some one who does not pay his taxes can become head of the IRS? Not only that but several other nominees as well did not pay taxes. But in his defense he did nominate one person who did pay his taxes....he was a lobbyist!

Well he probably still get around from paying taxes in his new position, but he'll probably ensure that people that were like him now do.

I think someone on this site quoted this..."no matter who you vote for the government always gets in".

When a product of the Chicago political machine gets elected what kind of "change" can one expect?

Obama's attorney general says"I know the supreme court has spoken, but some type of gun bans may still be legal."

And there you have it, yet another gun thread.
Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Words of wisdom:

"We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office." - Aesop

"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have." - Thomas Jefferson

"The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits."
- Thomas Jefferson

It appears we have lost sight of what our founding fathers had in mind when they founded this great republic.

Thankfully the process seems to be working, good for Obama. As to really knowing the personal details of everyone prior to nomination, we trust the prevailing morays to guide us and that principles are adhered to so that the vetting method is honest. Makes one wonder how many got thru' in the past, doesn't it? I'm quite grateful for this new transparency! The outcry from the right is quite expected, empty ideologues usually are the most vacuous!

choices?

We are picking from lobbyists and politicians. Some are even attorneys. The pool is pretty small. You are going to have to throw alot of them back in.

"In a stunning report released by the United States Government
Accountability Office in July 2008, Americans learned that many
corporations, including those with assets over $250M, reported no tax
liabilities. In fact, from 1998-2005, 72% of foreign-controlled
domestic corporations (FCDC's), and 55% of US-controlled corporations
(USCC's), reported zero tax liability for at least one of those years.
In total, two-thirds of the corporations doing business in the U.S.
paid no taxes from 1998-2005, while collectively reporting $2.5
trillion dollars in sales."
