Worlds best Riders

Is there a country that seems to produce the best motorcycle riders?I'm not talking about the best pro racers, but just average everyday folks who seem as a nation to be the best? My own opinion is:

The Brits, Scots, Welsh and Irish may have a leg up on the rest of us in bad weather riding as it is cloudy, rainy and foggy all of the time. They never see the sun. This being the case it gives them the most experience in wet and low to no visability riding.
Disadvantages--Put their handle bars on the wrong side if their bikes -drive on the wrong side of the road-- This causes them to have greater difficulties in manueuvering thru curves and turns than they would have if they drove on the right side of the road as normal people do.

Our Scandinavian friends-- As it snows there over 400 out of every 365 days of the year, they rarely if ever see their bikes let alone have any chance of reaching them. Total average riding time per year--15 to 20 minutes. No contest

France-- Did not know that was really a country until about two weeks ago. Everytime I saw something on TV concerning the French I thought I was was watching a Benny Hill skit Seems they really do eat snails. Nuff said.

This brings us to our German friends--They not only think they are superior-They know they are. They invented the BMW which doesn't dare break down, ever. They travel at speeds in excess of 600 mph on the autobahn and well over 150 in the city. Arguably the best high speed riders in the world. Disadvatages--Have on occasion been known to go on Blitzrides across Europe taking over resturants, rest areas and small towns at lightning speeds stopping only at the coast, causing the British to dust off their old BSA spitfires and line them up on the English side of the channel.

South Africa--Tuff and hardy types who are generally good riders. Have good weather much of the time. Disadvantages-- They consist mainly of ex-pats who are by definition "auslanders". They cannot know the terrain and roads as well as someone born and raised there. This tends towards their riding about the country side in a somewhat bewildered state.

Our good friends down under--This brings us to New Zealand along with her city state of Australia. There advantage is that they have great year round riding weather in most parts of their countries. Disadvantages--They like to drink beer. Hang on, hang on. Back in the day when motorcycles were all kick start they never quite mastered the technic of starting their bikes while holding a beer in there hand without spilling it. Therfore they tended not to ride to much. Since the advent of the push button starter they do tend to ride more and have become some of the best one handed riders in the world, but they now struggle with the how to manipulate the clutch and throttle while still hanging on to their beer problem. Disadvantages--This makes for slow shifters who display a great reluctance to commit to much of a lean angle when entering a curve as their main goal is to reduce spillage.

Canada--What can I say--there doesnt seem to be a canadian style to anything--When was the last time you took the wife out for some canadian? They seem to be a part of America with a socialist leaning. Disadvantages-- Seem to be part of America with a socialist leaning. This brings us to the good ole US of A.
A steely eyed lot with a devil may care attitude. We've fixed the British language.Won both world wars all by ourselves Have more bombs and missles than the whole world combined. This should put us in first place. One problem--When riding with all of our motorcycle gear, namely our knifes, pistols, rifles, uzi's,shotguns ect. in case of an encounter with a fellow countryman who we feel like shooting just for sport-I mean in self defence- it does tend to mess with our center of gravity causing us to manuver more slowly than others.
Advantage--We Invented the Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Disadvantage-- We invented the harley davidson motorcycle

So who do YOU think the best riders are? And yes, I had way to much time on my hands this evening.

You missed our biggest disadvantage; we use the Imperial system, so when the rest of the world has ridden 10km, we've only ridden 6.2 miles. Considering this fact, and that fact that many US riders have won world championships (why do other countries keep showing up at world championships? Haven't they watched the World Series?), we are obviously the best riders in the world.

But you did leave out the Italians. Their big advantage is that they have Italian girlfriends waiting for them at the finish line. Their bid disadvantage, of course, is that they have Italian girlfriends waiting for them at the finish line.

This is all completely true. But it never seems to bother us. Anyway, we've got loads & loads of roads like this one to ride :

Best riders have to be the Irish....

We have the worst roads in the universe & any who survive sharing the roads with the muppets who drive 4 wheels here deserve the highest order of combat medal

Rhetorical question:

Is it scientifically possible to correlate the world's best riders to the number of cage driving, cell phone carrying individuals that respective country has?
