Looks Like Snow

Well I am going to work this afternoon as for the first time in years we are going to have some real snow in England, I dont want to ride in at midnight in a foot of snow!! we get an inch and the country closes down so its going to be chaos here tomorow as they are forcasting a foot or two overnight in the south spreading north as the week goes on, I hope to have my 44tonne rig in Glasgow for 7am monday, so about this global warming thing...........

I do laugh, as must some of our northern states US friends, when reading the UK Met Office's extreme weather warning for tomorrow. "Commuters in Leeds and Bradford may have to trudge through as much as 5cm of snow".

For those still on imperial measurements, that's just over an inch.

Headlines tomorrow will tell of complete dislocation of public transport networks, pensioners only surviving by eating their dogs, children huddling round piles of burning Lacoste trainers for warmth, etc etc.

Well I can tell you here in the US State of Maine we have a considerable amount of hard snow packed down and both sides of my driveway are over 4 foot high or for those on the metric system a freaking lot.

But I must be honest we have more snow and it was -23 degrees F last week, but I would not want to ride my RIII even on an inch of snow. The thought of dropping or losing tractions is something I would not want.

All your fault.

See you're from Ipswich. I'm a Hadleigh boy though I've been in Brum so long I'm becoming naturalised!

Must not... nitpick... mustn't... calculate to... sixth decimal place....

Oh, heck with it.

It's a lot closer to two inches; 1.968504", actually. We'll send sled dogs.

Im from south UK and it's been the worst hit according to those weather idiots on telly, 20cm coming too, yeah right maybe 2cm, i took the 300kg bike out this morning, its fine on main roads, just a bit wet. Slow right down for the bends reducing any leaning, try to go straighter at roundabouts,go slow enough to see the road surface clearly, stay clear of anything that looks like water.
