Making a purely self-sacrificing gesture I went to my local Harley dealer and bought a new 2009 H-D Roadglide. This may or may not help Harleys bottom line but for sure it will help my "Bottom" on this coming summers cross continental tour.

Excellent choice... I'm not too keen on some Harleys, but I'd love to have a Road Glide. Congrats on a beautiful bike.

I"ve ridden a couple as rentals and really like the frame mounted fairing vs the bar mounted on all the other models. Enjoy.

While I've less than 200 miles on the bike the early impressions are that the new frame and wheel setup is a winner that is truly superior to the '01' RG that I traded.

That's a terrific cruising machine! Two of my mates (who also own first and second generation Speed Triples) have shown me on more than one occasion the superb worldly qualities of the Roadglide.

Congratulation on the new ride.. I still have my 01 RK and she's still going strong,not as strong as the Rocket III but that's a differant kettle of fish.
