Man, the guy posted back TODAY talking trash....I'd hate to be in his shoes when some angry R6'ers show up on his front lawn....one problem, tho, is making sure that they get the RIGHT person.

The biggest problem is that those guys didn't do due diligence. I'm checking out folks big time before I send $$ to anyone. Been burned once and that was one time too many for me.

Yea, and they realized their lack of judgment. A bit late though.

I noticed his last post talking smack was today too (midnight)

It would appear to be a classic forum scam, that site doesn't appear to police it's own rules, which is a 60 day membership before advertising and it appears to allow advertising in the chat forums. The apparent scammer joined just a few days before posting and bumped up 80 posts in record time.

There's 10 pages on that link, concisely a guy states he's breaking up an R6 and pushes parts for sale on a thread, as he states, to give members a chance before he advertises on e-bay.

Several members appear to have fallen for the scam.

On this site we have a 30 day 50 post membership rule which we enforce by the sites own software, and we don't allow members advertising in the forums. Even so we are not bullet proof so be very aware before parting with your money and use legitimate transfer safeguards such as PayPal.

This site may have regulations that are tighter than most of the other forums but that is actually one of the reasons that I hang around here as opposed to other sites.

and the mods do a good job of it too.

Hear, hear! Three cheers for the mods! This is one of the better sites I've found, and appreciate the hard work the mods do to keep it that way. (just don't let it cut into quality riding time.....)

I made four mental notes reading that little drama:

1. That guy is a tool.
2. They can post more than 4 smilies!
3. They still have those hideous gold 'lifetime premium omniscient member' badges.
4. That guy is a royal tool.

I love this forum. Thanks for the support, guys; it's greatly appreciated. Unless you were just talking to Tbird....
