6,000 mile service/software update?

Rolling up on this service and wondering if it is worth the investment. Getting close on tires. The oil/filter change I usually do myself. The part that I don't get is what software update is there in 2017 for a 2015 bike? They said they hookup the bike to the computer as part of the deal. Any insight on this? Thanks,

AFAIK there is no firmware update for the 2015 air/oil cooled bikes. Triumph dealers will want to relieve you of money just to check for any fault codes and to clear them if there are any. You can do all this yourself for the cost of an OBD2 to USB cable and a free download of the wonderful TuneEcu software. Just do a search on this website.

Buy this cable
http://lonelec.co.uk/index.php?route...&product_id=52

scroll down and download drivers from this page that fit your operating system for the cables
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm

and download from this page where it says--- TuneEcu software 2.5.8 for Windows from Toms server---.....assuming you use windows and then extract it. Then read and reread all about TuneEcu.

Thanks for your reply. I do not have the goods to do the tune myself at this point. Those of you who do, does it tell you there are no firmware updates for my model? Is it fair to assume that if my stock bike is running good, I can check over the bike and do the oil/filter and move on? Has anyone had input from a dealer that the computer hook up helped? Thanks
