Stage 3 mods in planning for increased performance next winter.
Hi, their are a couple of suppliers of the up mount rear bracket for the rear caliper . Mike at TTP sells one type and another is supplied on the internet .
I live on a gravel road and ride often on dirt roads so wanted to reduce the risk of binding the slides on the caliper which is why I installed the up mount bracket.
I do a lot of long two up riding and touring so the King and Queen seat wins hands down for comfort and suitability. Looks wise I am better with it now however may have the standard seat repadded and covered in brown leather as another option which I believe would look very nice.
Really like that battery tray mod. Did you fab that yourself? Always liked seeing light through the frame. Kind of like seeing light at the top of a woman's thighs.
The bikes looking sweet Greg......except for the seat, but needs must haha
i'm not convinced the gimbal idea for the headlight will work properly. centrifugal force as you corner will act on the counter weight which will probably keep the headlight on it's normal axis, and at low speed when the centrifugal force isn't great enough to have an effect on the counter weight the act of turning the handlebars left and right will make the counter weight swing left and right causing the headlight beam to rock from side to side.
that is why the on-board camera's on the back of motoGP bikes are motorised and not reliant on a counter weight to change their angle.
If I was smart enough I would use gyros to control the self levelling. I will look into that with some electronic control and two potentiometers I may be able to create something. I will ask some other mates who are more skilled than myself in electronics to investigate further.
