I have been looking for shocks on Ebay and found an auction for some that came off of a crashed Thruxton. They do not look stock but can anyone tell what they are?

I got a set of the Works Performance Racer shocks from Adrian (adepackett) at his shop in Topanga. He had a set left over from a build project, and he was selling them for a deeply discounted price (about the same as a set of Trackers). Huge improvement! Now I have to work on the front end, and I'm thinking about the Works Performance cartridges.

You just can't beat a good pair of Ohlins!!!

After over a year of trawling Ebay, eventually manged to get a pair of £1500 Ohlins (the fully adjustable type - including hydraulic pre-load), for £550. Almost new. I know not cheap but not that bad for what they are. From the top end Norton special.

Put Hagon progressive springs in the front with heavy weight oil. Still in the build stage and have'nt managed to test ride it yet but can only imagine it will be a huge improvement on the over all handling.

Bike away to Bob Farnham in January for the 903cc bore out and gas flowed head. Just fitted a 170 rear and 130 (17") front on Talon hubs, with 335 front floating disc and 4 pot Brembo. The street rod is starting to take shape. 2 into 1 Zard short pipe, K&N filters, Dyno-jet stage 1 carb kit. Damn this thing is sucking me dry.....

Roll on Spring!!! (it's too feckin cold in Scotland!)

I just picked up some Hagon classic shocks from BellaCorse and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on installing. Do i need to remove the mufflers? do i need to jack up the bike and if so what is the best way? thanks!!

I find you need to jack the bike up enough to take some of the weight off the rear wheel. If you try and swap the shocks out one-at-a-time without doing that the bike settles down enough after removing the original that you can't fit the new one on.

Don't know if you need to remove the silencers to get enough clearance to work. Not on my Bonnie, but I don't have those upswept pipes like on your thrux.

would hanging the seat frame from straps attached to the rafters take the weight off? you don't want the whole tire off the ground right?
