On a tour of the Maritimes and today we hit rain in Nova Scotia. The bike started chugging, lost power and then just died. Got it started up some minutes later after wiggling all connectors, but it finally died again after about 10K. It turns over OK but isn't firing. I canned the Goodtime Centre in Ottawa and the techie said to try spraying all electrical connections with WD-40. That didn't help. We're stranded and I'm using internet access in a motel! Any suggestions what to check or do? I'll try to get online later tonite... hopefully with some replies. Thanks, guys (and gals).

Bonnie died

The first thing I would look at would be the plug wires and ignition coil. WD 40 will help to displace any water in your electrical connections. Another area you may want to look at is the engine kill switch. check for water in the switch. Have you pulled a plug wire and checked for spark? I hope this Helps. Good luck mate.

Unplug the TPS at the connector, if it helps just leave it unplugged. Also open the gascap, it could be that the breather valve is stuck. If you check for spark remember that both plugs must be hooked up and grounded sicne it fires from one to the ohter, this also means that if one plug or wire is unplugged it won't run on one cylinder, it just stops.
