If your brakes are squishy and you have to add brake fluid you may find that the pads have worn beyond the service limit.If this is the case, replace the pads first as you will only have to take fluid out when you replace them and push the piston back in.Check the pad wear indicators,which are grooves in the pads,if they are not worn beyond the grooves then add fluid and bleed.
