EFI Bike. OK so have opened up the air box and fitted a K&N. Fitted Emgo Dunstall mufflers and removed the Air Injection. Bike is running better than new, more power, smoother at low speed and slightly better MPG. Checking the plugs they appear to be burning ever so slightly rich but well within bounds.
I can see that remapping will have additional power benefits but is it necessary?
I would have thought that opening the airbox and fitting a free flow air filter, plus more open pipes would weaken the mixture rather than richening it, making remapping neccessary.
