Lead acid batteries can recover some of their state of charge by being "warmed" but not nearly as much as an LiFe battery can/will.

As for EFI bikes. The only difference would be how much of a draw during key off and for how long between charges you go. You would want to have the higher AH reserve to cope better with the key off draw for extended periods if the bike is not ridden regularly. Unless you use a tender or disconnect the - cable. Then you could get away with the smaller AH reserve unit if you really needed to save a few bucks....

Plus the weight savings is huge @ 2.31lbs vs 10!

thanks for the info, i am only learning about lith-- batt the weight savings is a no-brainer and as technology increases they may replace conventional batteries if the prices come down as it could with more sales
