Turning to you to diagnose a problem I'm having with the carbs/idle. I think I have a general idea but I thought I'd take it to the table first.
I have an '05 Bonnie that was running fine until recently. I did do a whole front end swap that took about 2 months to complete and the bike didn't run much during that time. It's gotten to the point where the bike will not run without the choke wide open. Even after a 20+ mile ride I pushed the choke in and it immediately died. First thought it it's just gummed up carbs right? Should that happen that quickly? Also, I did powder coat the carb tops and reinstalled them. Would that have had any effect? I didn't think it would...
I was getting quotes around $350 to clean the carbs and reassemble. Seems high. Do I have other options? Is it possible to just spray carb cleaner in there to see if that help?
Let me know guys. Appreciate it in advance.
