STW; I just cleaned the old sealer off and bolted it back up. I have been wondering about that though. I probably should have put new sealer back on there. It was so tricky to access that I guessed it would be a messy job to seal it on is side like that.
I don't know whether it's leaking a bit of air or not. But I'm sure the idea in my head that it's not sealed will nag me enough that I'll pull the whole box out and neatly reseal the gasket.
As you guys are talking about re-jetting after removing the air box baffle, I assume a re-map would be necessary for EFI bikes?
My bike is stock at the moment (except for AI removed), but will be installing TORS and would like to remove the air box baffle next spring. What map would be suitable for a 2011 Thruxton?
TTP EFI performance tune 2 probably, although if you're going to remove the baffle you might as well get rid of the intake snorkel to get the full benefit.
Right, many thanks Forchetto, though I'm not sure I want to go to the extent of removing the O² sensors.
