These annoying little things cost $5 each. I have been trying different mirrors on my T100 to see which ones I like best and to stop them slipping, I need to replace the tolerance ring each time.

I suspect that if these were available from anyone else apart from Triumph, the cost would be nearer to $1, so, are these used for anything else? Or are they specifically made for Triumph mirrors?
Or is there anything else that can be used in their place?
And no, the answer is not "fit bar end mirrors" tried them, didn`t like them.
I'm not quite sure why you have to replace the ring each time you switch mirrors. When I tried different stalk type mirrors I reused them with out problem.
What do you mean by "slipping"? Do you mean that you can forcibly move them once mounted or do they just slip around on their own? If you can only move them by putting pressure on them that is OK--they shouldn't move in use. I have one bike that has stalk mirrors on it and I can move both by hand fairly easily, but they don't move on their own in use. They also don't use those Triumph type rings.
As per Bonza i had an issue with my left mirror and the issue was when the nut was tight there was still a bit of space. All i did was get a washer that was the right size and this clamped the mirror tight. There were some threads on this issue a couple of years back. Mirror hasnt moved since.
I did the same thing askari did.... got a flat washer to fit in between the nut and the wavy lock washer.... the secret is a washer that has a large enough inner diameter - there is a small protrusion where the threaded portion sticks down, and the nut tightens against that instead of where the lock washer was..... I did think about taking a dremel to it, but a washer fixed the problem.
Thanks for the advice, I`ll try the washer fix. I found that if you removed a mirror and re-used the tolerance ring, the mirror would seem ok but would fold in at speeds above 160kph.
I`ve fitted Thunderbird 1600 OEM mirrors which give the best rear vision and are, IMHO, the best looking I`ve tried so far, so I`ll stick with them and hopefully won`t need to try any more.
