So my question is can you explain how I can test the igniter?
The best test for most people is still the swap out with a known good igniter unit. I can test them with software on the bike, but over the years this has proven not to be totally reliable as many individual components can die which my testing can't detect.
Igniters as with many electronic items either die in the first month of use or go on for many years without problems, although the 270° items do tend to have a shorter life expectancy than the 360° units.
