I am putting bonni shocks on (13.5) so i want to lower the front. I know i can slide the tubes through the trees but is there a slug in there that I can take out to lower the front a bit. If not maybe shorter springs

Raising the tubes in the trees is the correct way to do this...
Removing a preload spacer or going to shorter springs will lower the front end at the cost of losing the ability to set preload...i.e. cranking down on the adjustable preload fork cap will simply raise the front end back up!!
