Finally--mods complete, tune installed!

After a year of going halfway, I added the final pieces to the puzzle on the Easter weekend: a pair of the new BC Sleeper Pro pipes and a new tune from TTP (Tune 3). Incredibly, the tune installed flawlessly, despite the fact I'm a luddite and was terrified of screwing up.

The bike runs beautifully (if a little louder than I expected). Big thanks to all who went before me and provided their advice and experience on these pages.

The least I can do is supply a tip of my own: The guys at British Customs didn't know I had a centre stand, so didn't send the right bracket and bumper to prevent the stand from hitting the left side pipe. While waiting for it to arrive, I've wrapped an asbestos rope gasket (used for fireplaces, wood stoves) around the part of the stand that makes contact. It's supposed to withstand temperatures of 500F. It works beautifully. Cushions the stand and doesn't burn or singe at all.

Cheers!

AI, O2 and air box baffle removed, BC Sleeper Pros, Breathe and tune from TTP, polished cups from D9, Triumph bar-end mirrors, centre stand, other goodies.

At the risk of sounding harsh, you're dreaming!
I'll wager that within 60 days (or less) you will find and buy another "must have" item.
Nothing personal, it's just how things work.

You can still buy products containing asbestos, or did you have it lying around?

OK, so I'll probably want to do shocks pretty soon. I'm hoping that's it.

Don't worry about heat in that area...I've used standard rubber bumpers in the same area, even at the front end of the slip on mufflers and not an issue.

No need for that nasty asbestos.

You're kidding! I assumed a rubber bumper would melt all over the finish. And here I thought I'd come up with something...

I'll go even further than Rex. You're on crack, mate!

I've spent nearly the purchase price of my bike (new) on mods and I'm not even CLOSE to being done. I know I'll never really be done...

2015 Bonneville T100 Black with WAY too many mods to list...
