No news on that front, but my local Triumph Dealer sent out an email the other day advertising that they were taking deposits for the upcoming 2017 Triumph Bobber!
"Now taking deposits on the 2017 Triumph Bobber! Yes, we know the new Triumph Bobber 1200 isn't officially announced yet, but if we've learned anything from the new model launches in 2016 we know its going to be good! Demand has outstripped production for most of 2016 on popular models like the Street Twin, T120 and Thruxton R. In order to get ahead of the game for next year we will start taking deposits now in order to guarantee delivery during first quarter of 2017. You haven't seen the new Bobber? Stop in anytime and we will share "spy" photos of the new bike and the break down of the expected features!
If you are interested in reserving the new 2017 Triumph Bobber stop in and place your fully refundable $500 deposit and secure yours now. We expect delivery in early 2017 and don't want you to miss out on enjoying this awesome new bike!"
I just can't see the Bobber being a big seller. That really is a very niche market and those guys like to make their own. I could be wrong but I just can't see it.
