I had the old slip on D&D's back from like 2004 on my Thruxton. Had to re-pack those since they were really too loud for me.
Looks like things improved for the better since then with this new full heqder system.
I also have a set of the Slip-On's", and the 2-2 System.
There is not a "huge" difference in the Decibel level of the two.
There IS, a difference in the Tone ........ and performance.
Between the two, and each one versus the stock cans.
I am playing with a Side Car on one of my bikes.
I have resorted to the TOR's for the Sidecar Rig.
Purely from a Decibel level stance.
It would be "cruel" to subject either my Dog, or any other Human occupant to THAT level of sound ........... only 24" from there left ear.
The Sidecar Rig is all about "enjoying life at slower speeds", so the added performance isn't a requirement.:wink2:
As to the "Video" Sound ................ I have yet to "Hear" a rendition that does justice to the Decibel level of this system.
Every Video I have watched claiming "this is what they sound like" ......... has the Camera pointed Forward, closer to the Front of the Bike.
The sound comes out the Back.
A camera would be better placed pointing Rearward, and mounted near the Back of a given Bike.
The microphone's on said camera .......... aim forward, in relation to the camera.:wink2:
That said ........... at some point I will "pack" the D&D Slip-Ons, and see how much it helps with the Decibel Level.
Being a Straight through design ......... I expect it's affect will be nominal.
