Newbie Scrambler Questions

I picked up a new 2014 Scrambler yesterday, and had just a couple of questions:

1) I see that the clutch and front brake levers are adjustable with 1 being the furthest from the grips, and 4 being the closest. Is there anyway to adjust it where 4 is even closer? They're just a tiny bit further out than I'd prefer

2) I have a quick release screen for a 2013 Bonneville that I no longer have (RIP Goldenrod), It's brand new in box as I never got a chance to use it. Does anyone know if it would fit my Scrambler? I've seen a few threads asking the question, but I've never really seen a definitive yes or no.

3) Are there any center stand safety issues? I opted for a few extras and that stand was one. Looking at how it's put together it looks like a U frame and two springs (one inside another) are all that are keeping it up. The U frame isn't bolted in place, and just held on by the tension of the springs.

4) Passenger Pipes. What's the word on passenger comfort with the pipes? My wife is wanting to go for a ride with me, and I don't want her to burn her legs.

Thanks, I appreciate any advice!

Can't help you with the first three, but as far as passenger comfort with the pipes:

She shouldn't have a problem with the heat, the large factory shields do a good job. One thing I did for my wife was to add a spacer and longer bolt to the right peg. That gave her an extra half inch or so away from the pipe. Before that she always felt like her foot was only half on the peg.

Congrats on your new ride!

I know the mounts for the Dart fly screen are different for Scrambler and Bonnie because the headlights are different. If it mounts to the headlight brackets it probably will not fit.

In 12000 miles I have never had a problem with my centerstand. Seems like I heard a little extra(new) noise when I installed it that is a distant memory and not sure if it is correct. Stopped worrying about it years ago.

About the center stand. I have one on my Bonneville, and ive tracked some weird noises down to it, and stopped to worry about them as soon as i tracked em down there. No problems with it thou.

I have not found any way to adjust the levers beyond the 4 available adjustments. I am curious if anyone here has been able to do this. The response I always get when talking to my local dealer or other riders is that I can get aftermarket levers...

My local dealer informed me that the Triumph Accessory Bonneville quick release screen does not directly mount to the Scrambler. That being said, I imagine it could be done with a few mods.

I ended up buying the Dart Flyscreen, and am very pleased. It doesn't detract much from the bike's style, and has increased my comfortable riding speed by about 20mph.
