So, today Vicky had to get on the bathroom-scales. Not the sort of thing a gentleman is supposed to make a lady do, but anyway. And before any of you start critizising - I know very well that this way (one wheel at the time, then the sidestand) of weighing a bike is all but accurate.
Anyway, with the (enlarged) petrol-tank far from full (guess it will take 10-12 litres more) the total weight of the bike was:
187.4 kilograms !
Not bad, huh? And this is even though I recently had to add almost a kilo (dealer didn't have a 520 kit for me when I needed to change the sprockets and chain, so I had to go with the stock, heavy 525 sprockets (and Gold DID-chain)).
So, to all of those that make fun every time there is talk of weight-reductions, and write stuff like "just drop that next hamburger, mate": it is possible to loose a lot of weight on the bike. Some of it by using ti and alu nuts and bolts
