I was wondering if there is a difference between the front height of the Bonneville and the Thruxton? And is the Thruxton length rear shocks a direct bolt on to the Bonneville?
I've been thinking about doing the same thing on my '09 mag wheel Bonny. The Thruxton shocks are indeed longer, but since the shocks are mounted at an angle, the delta doesn't translate into a equal increase in seat height. Still, it should be a noticeable increase.
Depends on the Bonnie. The standard or SE rides a 17" wheel, the T100 rides a 19" front.
I believe the rear shocks are 360mm on a Thruxton to a 340mm rear on a Bonneville T100. I plan on putting in an aftermarket 360mm rear shocks on the bonnie when I get it, to lift it up a tad. I'm 6' 2". The parts between the two should be interchangeable.
