I've tried just about every different bar / peg combination from stock bars, ace bars, "M" bars, clip-ons, back to "M" bars, to superbars with each of these being with rear-sets as well as stock bonnie pegs. I ran thru all the bars with LSL rear-sets and back thru with stock bonnie pegs. The most comfortable I found was the stock bonnie peg position with Norman Hyde "M" bars. My issue wasn't unlocking the hips, it was unlocking the knee caps and I could only do this by ditching the LSL rear-sets.
I truly don't believe anyone's going to know what suites them best until they travel that road for themselves, there’s just too many variables.
