shoei rj platinum r open face helmet

I am looking to replace my jet style helmet with a 3/4 style open face helmet.

Does the shoei helmet move and catch lift at highway speed? I have found that 3/4 helmets, even when sized correctly tend to lift at speed. I am considering this helmet in order to find a more secure fit. Does anyone have any experience with this helmet?

Criuser Helmet

My 2 cents is it's a 'cruiser' helmet and was probably designed to use behind a windshield. It's available in a LE version too, so may have actually been designed for m/c cops. I dunno, but with that said, I did wear one for about a year on a... uh hmm, Honda w/o a windshield (a Honda!? OMG, Becky!!)

Yea... I found it pretty annoying. The faster you go, naturally the harder it pulls. After 30 mins or so at highway speeds, you'll get the urge to unbuckle it and just 'let 'er rip'.

I went with the AVG RP60 helmet. It comes in black and green too.

I've got the Shoei RJ Platinum helmet, and it does lift some at highway speeds--enough to encourage me to tilt my head forward which stops the lift. I've actually never thought much of it, but that's probably because I've only been riding a little over a year and never used another helmet. So I guess I'm not much help!

As far as comfort, though, I love it--great even fit all over. And the vents work very well in hot weather.

I've got one. If I stay in my normal riding position, at 65-70 mph, I do not get lift even with the rather large visor. If I raise my head or sit back with one hand on the bars I experience a little helmet lift. Nothing that feels like it will fly off. I might add that the seating position and angle of my head/torso make all the difference. I used this same helmet on a pure cruiser style bike with forward pegs and pull back bars. Pretty bad helmet lift and wind pressure with that setup.
