Love the color man!!! Great looking bike- congrats!
I owned a carb'd Bonneville before trading it in for a FI Thrux.. I honestly think they run the same. I had a dude look at my carb'd bike before I traded it in, and he had only heard FI bikes run- he thought the carb bike sounded meaner (with stock exhaust!).. Hahahahaha I think they sound exactly the same personally.
I never ever had trouble with my carbs- they always were perfect. Didn't have to touch them once- unlike what had to be done with all my vintage Honda 4's I owned before. The only difference I've noticed between the Carb and FI for me was that, under cold start conditions, the carb bike would want the choke on for a while before it would idle without choke. Not a biggie- would just need it on for a minute or two- or leave it with choke no after starting it and allowing warm up for a minute or so, then ride away, and pop off the choke once I am on the road and moving. FI just needs the cold start/fast idle circuit on (looks like a choke!) for maybe 5-10 seconds, then will idle with it off. Pretty crazy!
Its probably been said a million times in this thread, but whether FI or carbs, you're gonna be happy!!!
