I got one as a summer jacket. It is very comfortable on and off the bike. It feels like a casual (non-bike) jacket with unobtrusive elbow and shoulder armour although there is no back protector or even a pocket for one. The cut is good for riding with plenty of room for stretching to the bars and no gaps at the rear whilst not being so baggy that it acts like a windbrake. It is also at least showerproof but I have yet to test it in heavy rain.

It has a removable waistcoat liner but could not be classed as a cold weather jacket.

In my option it is a great casual jacket which also works well on a bike in better weather but it is not suitable for use as a main jacket unless you only ride on warm days. I also have Hein Gericke leathers and a two piece cordura suit and this jacket compliments but doesn't replace them.

I have the Lexington jacket which is exactly the same as the McQueen jacket except for the color and some very minor detailing.Same jacket really.

Get a size or two larger then you normally wear.I had to get mine 2 sizes larger then I normally wear.Runs small. All of the Triumph jackets do as I have noticed by trying several of them on at my dealership.

The jacket is very comfortable.Has a removable vest lining.Jacket looks great on and off the bike.Probably not for really cold weather riding or very hot weather riding.More like a cool-warm weather jacket.Maybe around 50-85 degrees.

Has elbow+shoulder pads but no back pad.

I would recommend this jacket.I like it.

I ordered/Bought my Triumph Jacket two sizes larger, so I could wear a down vest in the winter, as mine didn't come with a liner, fits fine in summer a bit large, but it is an all season jacket now!

Morning all , a little update on the jacket , jacket arrived the other day, even after going up two sizes ( I'm 42in chest ) the jacket was wayyyyyyy too small , arms too short and very snug around the chest , Triumph have got their sizing wrong big time !
I managed to track a size 50 down , almost a perfect fit,now i can understand some sizes being a bit out either way but this was ridiculous, going by Triumph guide for clothing i have had to go up a WHOPPING 8 INCHES, plus the curse of Internet shopping is the return of the item and having to swallow the cost of posting ,so buyer beware ! get down to the showroom and try on before hand. (if your thinking of getting one of these jackets get in quick, triumph have discontinued them )

Sorry to hear that buck. That is why I hate buying clothing from on line.Sizing can be all over the place. Some things I buy a medium fits and some things an XL fits.It is crazy. And the return shipping costs do suck.As I posted earlier the Triumph sizes do run small.I was lucky that the Lexington jacket I bought was at my dealer for me to try on.

The key to buying on line is to do a little research. I just bought a Triumph jacket that's three sizes larger than my regular size that fits me perfectly. I first did a search here and found a discussion. PMed a guy who bought a similar jacket and found out what online store and what salesperson helped him. I went to that store and got fixed up.

I don't know about the textile stuff, but it's my understanding that most of Triumph's riding gear is made by Alpinestars, who are well known for sizing their stuff insanely small compared to the rest of the world.

I'd heartily suggest getting a back protector and sewing in a pocket if necessary. Backs are handy things. Worth a bit of protection in an accident.

Thats what the original purpose of this post was , asked a few questions about it , and as you can see i went up two sizes from a 43 to a 46 , how do factor in having to go up to a size 50 ?

Buck I wish I could help you there, but I only have a resource on this side of the pond. My point was that there are people working in places on the internet who sell a lot of these products. They know their stuff and can make good recommendations. Their business does not want a lot of returns, so they want to steer you in the right direction. I found the name of such a person right here on rat.net. Sorry for your troubles and good luck getting a jacket that fits.

It's funny, I bought a Newham jacket a while ago and got a 46 (I normally wear a size 44 jacket, but was advised to go up a size), and it fits great. I just found a Lexington jacket on eBay for $70 USD (woohoo!) and it's a size 48...perfect fit. Not only is Triumph's sizing a little off, but it's not consistent either. Their classic gear is just such nice quality (and way high on cool-factor)...if you find the right size, you're golden :)

One critical measurement to consider with Triumph jackets: Sleeve length. I asked the seller on eBay to measure the length for me, and he was kind enough to do so. Other than the Lexington, every Triumph jacket I've ever tried is too long in the sleeves for its marked size.

The quality of all triumph clothing is good, in fact very good, the sizing sucks big time. I bought mail order and had a jacket shipped to Malaysia from the UK, its a lawford leather jacket, I called the dealer before buying to check sizing, I'm a 44 chest they told me to go with 44....after itarrived its way to small, i'd need a 48 for sure... looks like my son has a new jacket when he gets home for his holidays... great jacket though.
