Anyone replace rear wheel with a no CushDrive wheel? What is the results?

Cush drives are used to ease fatigue of transmission components and they also soften sudden torque changes when accelerating or decelerating, enabling finer control on slippery surfaces.

Having said that some bikes don't have any, at least on the rear wheel, and they manage OK.
