This is not a photoshop, anyone with nothing to do this winter can try this. For more info see my album under the t's. Look in the interesting bikes album. thruxtonone
I envision an old Brit, telling his new young appentice that "after 30 years on this production line,I`ve forgotten more about engine assembly than you will ever know!!" :-D
That is a bit too whacky for me but in the August issue of the Classic Motorcycle there is a beautiful Quadrent on a T120 frame. The guy did an incredible job an the engineering is mindboggling to me, might as well be aerospce technology!
thruxtonone - do you have a full pic of that bonnie that is partially pictured in the lower right of that pic? I had a 68 bonnie with that exact paint scheme and would love a pic of it for memory sake - it's very rare to see it.
That's really bizarre! Although I'd LOVE to try it out! This looks way too good for a home job. Look at the tranny cases. I'm thinking this was a "one off" done by the factory which means that there must be a story. Hmmmmmmm.... Somebody should know about it. It's obviously sitting in a museum.
For those that don't know, the green & white Nash Metropolitan sitting behind it is also British built! All of them were built for Nash by Austin at the Longbridge plant in England. As far as I know, all were shipped to the US and sold here. Here it is 50 years later and us colonists are STILL supporting Her Majesty's economy!! Hehehehe!
Whoa!! Nice job, Mr. Hoard! BTW, I can probably google it but where is the Gilmore Museum located??
