Scary prices at Triumph. Had a quick estimate from my Triumph dealer for all the tashed parts on Tigger, including 3 hours labour to fit the new parts, the bill comes to £615.40 add in the £175 quid for a set of replacement Touratech engine bars & the bill is Scary. For such a small amount of visible damage it sure adds up quick.
Thanks for the support & sympathy I am just waiting now to hear what the driver thinks about paying up or going to his insurance. Just about to phone the cop shop to make sure that the accident was officially recorded.
The police were Ok at the scene (arrived after the fact & no witnesses) did a PNC (checked out the car & driver on the national data base, genuine name, insurance valid so thats ok) they had passed & realised that something had happened so circled round to see what was going on stopped & asked the right questions.

I'm not going to the Tiger meet on Sunday ironically enough I am attending the first part of the police's "Drive Safe" Course a day of instruction and lectures at the police training colledge at Jacton East Kilbride. this will be followed up later in the year by an observed ride with a police rider/instructor to make me safer on the road. Its a good course & is free, guys in the UK - try it, I did one just after passing my test about 10 years ago & it helped a lot. The coppers on the course were an easy going bunch & a good laugh to boot, hope its the same this time round.
one of these days i will manage to get together with some of the rest of you, every time a meet is organised I have been tied up with stuff I cant avoid.
keep the Rubber side down & watch oot fur cagers.
