Glen-Tiger you are probably righ that the Touratechs will sand down and repaint. However the next donger than comes along and knocks someone off could claim that the re-sanded bars were weakened and not fit for function.
I would look into replacing then at cost to donger number one. After all that was what bigD had prior to incident and thats what she should have now. Also if the police are taking no further action, hitting them in the pocket is the best way to ensure that their mistake stays present in their mind.
