Any Canadian Street owners?
Just curious if anybody in Canada has taken possession of a Street Triple yet and if so, what they paid?
I stopped at the dealer today and had a little chat with the sales guy who told me that they don't discount their bikes...they aren't Japanese he said. But that they could do a no payment/no interest for 6 months deal on the Street. With an MSRP of $9999 (that's 2 grand more than in the states), pus $995 for freight/PDI and 12% taxes (provincial sales and federal goods & services) it was $12,313 OTD.
They had a green one on the floor ready to go. It's been there for at least a month based on when I first saw it appear in their ads. So for such an in-demand, hot bike, why is it still there? Is it because it's green? He said there were 2 orders for black ones. If I wanted one now, this was the only one on a Canadian showroom floor he said. Brought it in from Hamilton he said.
I don't think the naked bikes are as big here in Canada as they are in Europe. I'm thinking there may be more room for negotiating.
