I didn't have to use it with the standard half pipe though, I belive it is there for the after market half pipe.

There are also two inserts which are used between standard half pipe and both exhausts, to get a smaller standard pipe diameter to fit the bigger one on the can.
That is interesting info. The Arrow midpipe would get rid of the stock chrome shields and ugly clamp connection, which would be a definite plus.

Seems that the midpipe is relatively cheap, compared to the actual cans. I might just buy it and see if it'll fit or not. Once I get hold of the actual cans, that is.
