I have the same issues and will probably try cutting the stock screen down by a few inches. The solution may also lie in proper venting--some aftermarket screens have vent holes cut on the left and right sides.

Maybe there is a way to elevate the screen off the fairing similar to a Honda ST or a BMW RT? Aside from having nice adjustable screens, there is a gap where air flows up under the windscreen. I'm guessing this eliminates vacuum?
