Thanks guys,

What do you do to modify Speed Triple? One of my favorite bikes, it's almost perfect to begin with (especially the 2005). Underseat exhaust, maybe? Love that bike.

License plate touching the rear tire? Yep, that's been a problem in that the inspection sticker portion (required in Texas ) shown in the photos did touch the tire, In fact, the plastic plate shown was basically "eaten" by the rear tire (unfortunately the rear tire also almost ate the wires going to my Back Up light shown at bottom of license plate). I fixed the wires and put on a new metal inspection plate. In order to avoid feeding the hungry rear tire, I pre-loaded the rear shock springs some more and glued those slick plastic "furniture sliders" underneath the new inspection plate where the tire will likely rub the inspection plate. The idea is the furniture slider will act like a knee puck. Besides being less friction, the sliders are easily replaceable.

We'll see how it works in the long run. So far so good.
